Smack my ass and call me Judy!

You are reading this article, aren't you? So you clicked on that goddamned link huh? Good for you! Now let's cut to the chase, shall we?!

Social media comes with the distinct possibility that you will skip dinner, not sleep until 3 in the morning, and curse yourself when its daybreak. In an age where heartbreak is perhaps the only this as popular as  Snap-chat, the good old "cooped-up-alone-time" is the stuff of dreams. You want to log off, you want to get off that shitty old timeline but wait- Uh-oh, that's a cat. Yeah, well.....

My recent sabbatical (my ex boss hates me still) gave me the much needed time for some soul-searching, not the kind which Steve Jobs undertook, but hopefully something constructive. Having lost my best friend (and illustrator) to a top design school, I was now unemployed (by choice) and screwed beyond the usual (again, by choice).  What do you do usually do in such situations? Just getting some perspective because all I did was binge eat and watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S. (only because Game of thrones was off air and I still love Chandler).

But more importantly, it also gave me time to do that thing I haven't done since a long, long time (no, not THAT, ugh!) Take a look!

So there's that.

P.S.  : My self-inflicted (though hardly miserable) leave also gave me time to chart-out some acknowledgements/ dedications/ love letters for some really cool people I know. So here’s the deal- from now on, every post will be dedicated to a cool soul I have encountered somewhere.
In case you wish to be featured, comment on your favourite blog post on Down and Out and you shall be immortal! (Just Kidding, I will only just write a little about you). Go on, then!
