The evil viper

An evil viper bit me.
Its venom cuts into my skin, with every breath I take.
I was passing by the forest,
Minding my own business.
The viper was distraught perhaps,
Its uninteresting life leading it
to wander into mine.
So much so for minding my own business.

The evil viper stares strangely,
Basking in the unheard applause
of the glorious feat achieved.
The pain, oh my!
The stars shine a little less bright.
The moonlight is dimmer tonight.

The evil viper bit me.
The pain is sharp & I am falling.
An evil viper bit me
Its blinding me, & I am dying.

I am dying a death of uncertainty.
Of intrusion & obliqueness
The pain, oh my!
So much so for nobleness.

Send flowers to my grave when I am dead.
But who will know I died?
For I lie here on the forest floor
Alone, in the dimming moonlight.

An evil viper bit me.
Its venom cuts into my heart like a knife.
The pain, oh my!
